PANJIM: Dr Pratiksha Khalap has been appointed President of the Goa Mahila Congress unit with immediate effect.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Mallikarjun Kharge approved the appointment of the presidents for Mahila Congress units of six States and union territories on Thursday.
The post was vacant since October last year when Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee (GPMCC) President Beena Shantaram Naik resigned from her post.
Speaking to O Heraldo, Naik had said she had resigned to make way for young blood to come forward.
