MARGO: The Village Development Committee of Guirdolim Panchayat on Sunday presented a draft development plan to the villagers besides taking their suggestions to complete the plan. Around 160 villagers including some school children actively participated in the proceedings.
Some villagers gave their suggestions of works to be taken up in the village with the major emphasis being on good roads and proper drainages. The panchayat was also asked to strengthen the garbage management system in the village which some pointed out was not up to the mark.
Chairman of the committee Savio Antao conducted the meeting and also enlightened the villagers on the draft plan prepared by the committee. The villagers and more particularly the children present actively participated in preparing the social map.
