Six persons were rescued by the Drishti Team in separate incidents at different beaches during the holiday weekend.
The Drishti Surf lifeguard Rajesh Dhuri rescued a minor Dutch girl and two Indian tourists off Vagator coast during the Christmas week holidays.
Mohan Shrivastava (25) and Sachin Gupta (23), both natives of Madhya Pradesh were rescued while they struggled in waters. Another minor Dutch girl was also rescued by the lifeguard Rajesh in the close proximity.
In another incident at Calangute, two friends, Syed M Mehdi (25) of Hyderabad and Kunal D Madkaikar (26) of Mumbai were rescued by the Drishti Surf Life Team as they struggled to swim back to safety.
According to Drishti reports, the friends duo continued swimming in unsafe waters despite repeated requests from the Dristhi Team. Noticing Syed struggled Kunal went for his friend’s rescue but himself ended up in deep trouble.
Both were finally rescued and safely brought to the shores by the Drishti Team of lifeguards Sachin Naik, Ganesh Pednekar and Ramkrishna Shettili.
In another incident at Agonda shores, a South African Edward Timothy Ferguson (20) was rescued by Drishti Lifeguards Rajendra Velip and Vljay Velip.
