PANJIM: Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Goa Police is probing the source of ganja procured by Goa Engineering College students arrested last week for possession of narcotics. Superintendent of Police (ANC) Karthik Kashyap said investigations point to Karnataka as the source of the drug.
He said there are links to Belgaum and the cops are out to trap the person supplying the banned substance to Goa. He said, “To book a case of ganja is slightly difficult as you need 20 kgs to make it a commercial quantity.”
He, however, said that selling of drugs in colleges premises and within their vicinity should be stopped.
Two students were arrested last week. and were out on bail.
