Dry days, liquor restrictions imposed

PANJIM, FEB 5 Government has issued restrictions on carrying liquor and dry days from February 7 to 9 (both days inclusive) in view of bye-elections in various panchayats.

Government has issued restrictions on carrying liquor and dry days from February 7 to 9 (both days inclusive) in view of bye-elections in various panchayats.
The bye-polls will be held in the following wards of village panchayats: Dhargal (ward 3), Oxel (ward 1), Siridao-Pale (ward 3), Querim (ward 3 & 4), St Jose de Areal (ward 3) and Sanvordem (ward 8).
The prescribed limit for carrying liquour is three quart bottles of Indian made foreign liquor, other than beer, and six bottles of beer for any person, including his family, three quart bottles of country liquor for any person, including his family, shall be the maximum quantity of liquor which can be transported from one place to another within the wards of the said village panchayats.
For the same period, in the above mentioned wards of the panchayats, all premises licenced for sale of liquor, shall remain closed
