PONDA: Stating that since two years of COVID-19 pandemic their business was badly hit, the Dudhsagar jeep operators at Collem, who earns livelihood by ferrying tourists to Dudhsagar Falls, on Thursday, urged the government to increase their daily trips to 300 per day especially during upcoming Christmas Festival season as large tourist flocks to Goa to watch Dudhsagar Falls.
The jeep operators said, “The season this year commenced in October and now they are hoping to settle in business.”

They said that they follow all COVID norms while operating jeeps to Dudhsagar Falls in deep forest through kutcha road.
They said their business is seasonal, remains close during five months including rainy season and that they have to pay various taxes.
The jeep operators said that they have borrowed loans for buying jeeps but since past two years struggling to pay loan installments and feed their family.
