MARGAO: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to complain to the Central Bureau of Investigation against the work order of the Government to a Dutch company for salvaging the ground ship Nu-Shi-Nalini.
The AAP Goa Seafarers Cell chief Capt Venzy Viegas said that they have been monitoring the progress closely.
“Today the chief minister has issued a statement that a Cabinet meeting has finalised on giving the work of salvaging to a Dutch company. He said ministers finalised giving the work order which now suggests that is a big scam,” Capt Viegas alleged.
“He did not say that the MPT of DG Shipping has finalised or his team which he told to have working. We challenge the Chief Minister. There is no Dutch company; it is all fake. It is given to an Indian company and all the Dutch company is a fake story. It is the ministers who have given this work,” Capt Viegas alleged.
“We will watch the entire process closely to tell the people the State and the chief minister that the minister can’t finalise this work,” Capt Venzy said.
“For ministers to finalise have you’ll invoked the law; who has taken over the vessel. We want to know clearly the process to give work order; we want to know details on what will be the work order. Will it be salvage, and if salvage then what form will you do it?” he questioned.
“If the state and Chief Minister doesn’t listen, then, we are going to the Central Bureau of Investigation with a complaint. Till Monday we will monitor how the work order is given to the Dutch company and accordingly, we will approach the CBI,” Capt Venzy said.
