MARGAO: Officials of Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) yesterday directed five restaurants in Colva to down their shutters as they were found to be functioning in an unhygienic condition which could be dangerous to people eating there.
All five restaurants were found to be in unhygienic conditions and had poor sanitary conditions compelling the officials to order their closure.
The five restaurants closed were the pure vegetarian restaurant Tulsi and Radhe Krishna restaurant; three bars and restaurants namely Rafael Bar & Restaurant, Good Man restaurant & bar and Collimark Bar and Restaurant.
In all, the Food and Drugs Administration had raided eight restaurants.
