VASCO: Vasco police on Saturday arrested five minors on charges of burglary at Baina and recovered a part of the booty.
Investigating Officer (IO) Gautam Salonke told Herald that police acted on a tip off and rounded up the five minors and recovered some of the mobiles and recharge vouchers which were stolen from a shop at Valmiki building in Baina-Vasco.
“All five minors have been arrested under Sections 457, 380 read with 34 of Indian Penal Code and they have been sent to Apna Ghar in Merces,” Salonke said.
It may be recalled that mobile and recharge vouchers worth Rs 25,000 and cash of about Rs 5000 were stolen from a shop on Wednesday.
