The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has granted environmental clearance to Fomento Resources Pvt Ltd for the Block IV – Kalay Mineral Block in Sanguem taluka. The lease, covering 152.5 hectares in Santona village, has been approved for iron ore production of up to 0.75 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). The clearance was issued on August 22, 2025.
