Four protesters from Mirabag who were detained for staging a protest inside the visitors’ gallery during the Assembly session have been released on bail.
The individuals had raised slogans during the session inside the Goa Legislative Assembly, prompting security personnel to detain them.

Following their release, the protesters stated that they are workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party and strongly objected to remarks made by Pramod Sawant.
They said they were ordinary party workers expressing their concerns and should not be treated like criminals. “We are BJP workers, not terrorists,” they said, while condemning the comments made by the chief minister regarding the protest.
The protest had taken place during the ongoing Assembly session, drawing attention from legislators and prompting immediate intervention by security officials.
