VASCO: The Vasco police arrested four naval sailors for creating public nuisance in Vasco under influence of alcohol, on Friday night. While two naval sailors were arrested for causing public nuisance near municipal building, two were arrested for creating similar nuisance near the Talaulikar Hospital in Vasco under the influence of alcohol.
According Police Inspector Nolasco Raposo, they received information that the naval sailors were creating nuisance in the public area near the Talaulikar Hospital and near municipal building in Vasco under the influence of alcohol. Following this, a police team rushed to the both the sites and detained the accused naval sailors.
“Last night we booked two cases involving naval sailors for causing public nuisance under the influence of alcohol. The first case was reported near MMC building where two sailors damaged a traffic signboard. The second case was reported near Talaulikar Hospital where two naval sailors were causing public nuisance.”
In this regard we have arrested them and subsequently released them on bail. Further report will be submitted before Vasco JMFC for initiating action under Section 34 of Police Act,” Raposo said.
