CALANGUTE: Continuing its crackdown on touts in Calangute, the tourist security force (TSF) nabbed another four persons who were harassing tourists and trying to con them in Tito’s lane, Baga, late Monday night.

The four, identified as Maruti Rathod, Nagappa Lamani, Akash Rathod and Ravi Rathod, all natives of Karnataka, were later handed over to the Calangute Police where they were fined Rs 5,000 each.
The TSF also found a purse containing Rs 50,000 belonging to a tourist on Candolim beach and after verification, returned it to the owner, the police said. Around 100 so-called touts have been rounded up since the start of the new tourist season following complaints that they were harassing tourists and also offering illicit services.
