MARGAO: A scooter parked inside a shop in Malbhat ignited, causing damages estimated at Rs. 30,000. Fire Station Officer Gil Souza confirmed that property valued at Rs. 2,00,000 was saved during the incident, which was managed by D.N. Kotharker.
Additionally, fire personnel undertook various operations to remove fallen trees obstructing pathways, including a tree hindering traffic near Maruti Mandir at Peda Comba and a broken branch behind the South Goa Collectorate building, overseen by Sub Officer N.V. Takkar.
Firefighters also rescued a dog from a well near Gomantak Bar and Restaurant and addressed oil spills on the road near Caro Corner in the new market.
