PANJIM: Goa Forward Party (GFP) President Vijai Sardesai on Saturday flew to Delhi to take legal opinion into Mhadei issue ahead of All Party delegation’s meeting with Union Minister for Environment Prakash Javdekar.
The former deputy chief minister also took a shot at the government stating his move to seek legal course into the matter is “not for match fixing”.
“We will not compromise on Mhadei. We will save Mhadei. I am going to New Delhi for legal course and not to do a match fixing. It is a fight for justice,” he told reporters at Dabolim airport on Saturday.
Sardesai also emphasised that he would be a part of the All Party delegation to New Delhi on Monday.
Commenting on the “rasta rook” held on Friday the Fatorda MLA said he is willing to apologise to the people for the inconvenience caused however the agitation was the need keeping in mind seriousness of the issue.
“We will apologise to whoever faced difficulty. The trouble will happen and there is no gain without pain,” he added.
