CURCHOREM: A minor girl drowned in an irrigation cannel behind Pope John School, Bhirmel in Quepem. On being informed, the Quepem police rushed to the spot, retrieved the body, conducted scene cum inquest panchanama and sent the body to Hospicio Hospital morgue, Margao for preservation and post mortem examination.
The victim is identified as Shifa Chaprband, daughter of Mehboob Chaprband and was residing at the place owned by Afzal Shaikh in Bhirmel Quepem.
