According to the victim’s complaint, she was raped by her uncle four years ago when she was a minor. The complainant said her uncle lured her while she was 16-years-old and under the pretext of gifting her a mobile phone asked her to visit Panjim.
Taking advantage of her loneliness, he confined her in a flat without her consent and had forceful sexual intercourse by kidnapping her, she alleged.
Mapusa police have registered a case against the accused under section 363, 342, 376 Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 8 of Goa Children’s Act and section 4, 8 of POSCO Act. The accused uncle is absconding, police said.
