PANJIM: A 17-yr-old girl from Mugali-Salcete was rescued from drowning near the Khola beach in Canacona, on Monday.
According to Drishti reports, an eight-member group was spotted swimming in the mouth of the river, when the girl drifted with the flow of river due to strong current and raised an alarm. Noticing her in danger, two lifeguards rushed to her aid and brought her safely ashore.
