PANJIM: Goa has bagged one of the Best Performing States based on the National Food Safety Performance Index as the Central government felicitated seven leading states and union territories for achieving excellence in this sector.
An elated Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said the State will continuously ensure safe and healthy food. “I feel extremely proud to share that today on World Food Safety Day, Goa has been awarded one of the best performing states based on National Food Safety Performance Index for the period April 2018 to March 2019.
