The Goa Cabinet on Wednesday approved a series of key decisions spanning healthcare, tourism and administrative services. Among the major approvals was the implementation of a 100-point roster system for postgraduate seat reservations at Goa Medical College (GMC), aimed at streamlining and ensuring transparency in the admission process.
The Cabinet also cleared incentives for inbound tour operators for the year 2026, a move expected to boost tourism and encourage greater international and domestic inflow to the state.

In another decision, the Cabinet sanctioned the creation of a new post of Deputy Captain of Ports to strengthen port administration and operations. Additionally, it approved the appointment of a contractual consultant and technical staff under the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) for Tuem Hospital, in a bid to enhance healthcare services in North Goa.
The decisions reflect the government’s focus on improving medical education, strengthening tourism, bolstering port management and upgrading healthcare infrastructure across the state.
