MARGAO: The Goa Forward Party on the 68th Republic Day had a march in Margao. Fatorda candidate Vijai Sardesai, Prabhakar Timble, Prashant Naik, MMC Chairperson Babita Angle were present at the rally. The ‘Forward March’ started from Holy Spirit Church to Old Survey Office, Borda, and was attended by large number of people.
Vijai Sardesai while addressing the gathering at the March said, “You are my high command and if this high command elects me I will be the MLA again.” He further said that he has taken up the issues of the people even after being in opposition and the development I have done that can be seen. Vijai reminded people on the works of road widening, street lightening and other works.
Reminiscing the previous election and speaking on the betrayal by Congress, Vijai said, “Betrayal was done in 2012 and now again in 2017. But this time it was the people at large said that they wanted the alliance of likeminded people. But it did not happen.”
“We have to think of ourselves and our future generations. If the American head of state says that we need to think of ourselves then why not we,” urged Vijai.
“When the people of the country rally together for a common cause like Jalikattu, the Governments have to bend,” said Vijai.
