Goa Police Becomes First in India to Achieve 100% Response Rate on Cyber Fraud Helpline 1930

Goa Police has become the first police force in the country to achieve a 100% response rate on cyber fraud calls made to the national helpline number 1930. The dedicated cyber fraud call centre, launched just last month, has already handled over 5,000 calls, returned 1,500 missed calls, and registered 581 formal complaints — ensuring full accessibility and quick assistance for citizens.

Cyber Crime Superintendent of Police Rahul Gupta said that every call received at the centre is recorded and reviewed to maintain service quality and speed up action in cybercrime cases. According to officials, the prompt response system has already helped prevent financial losses for several victims and has significantly strengthened public confidence in reporting cyber fraud.

Goa has reported cyber fraud losses exceeding ₹100 crore so far, though sources indicate the actual figure may be much higher due to under-reporting. Authorities continue to urge citizens to immediately call 1930 for any cyber fraud-related assistance or complaints.
