Goa Police have not yet formally contacted Dehradun Police regarding Gautam Khattar, founder of Sanatan Mahasangh, even as a criminal case remains registered against him in Vasco, Goa.
The case stems from his alleged controversial remarks about Saint Francis Xavier, which have triggered widespread outrage and intensified the search for him.
Dehradun Police said they have not received any request for assistance or additional force from Goa authorities so far. Meanwhile, Goa Police are reportedly searching for Khattar independently.
Meanwhile, Madhav Khattar, brother of prime accused Gautam Khattar was brought to Goa from Dehradun by a Vasco Police team late Wednesday night, was produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) in Vasco amid heightened public scrutiny.
After hearing both sides, the court allowed custodial interrogation, giving the Crime Branch a four-day window to probe his role and map potential links to the incident and was remanded to four days of police custody.
