The Goa Youth Congress has stated that it extended all possible assistance to students appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), placing student welfare above political considerations on examination day.In a statement, members of the organisation said volunteers were deployed across various locations to help candidates and their families navigate the challenges associated with travelling to examination centres. The Youth Congress claimed that dedicated help desks were established to provide guidance and support to students throughout the day.According to the organisation, volunteers distributed drinking water and coordinated pick-up and drop facilities for students travelling to examination venues. Members said the initiative was aimed at ensuring that candidates could focus on their examinations without worrying about logistical difficulties.The organisation further stated that volunteers remained available throughout the examination period and assisted families whenever required. It said every effort was made to support students in a practical and meaningful manner.“Our focus was entirely on the welfare of students. We tried to assist them in every possible way and ensured that necessary support was available whenever required,” members of the organisation said.The Youth Congress also announced that its student helpline number would continue to remain operational even after the completion of the examination. The organisation said students across Goa could continue to contact the helpline for guidance and assistance in the future.Reiterating its commitment to student welfare, the Youth Congress said educational support would remain one of its key priorities and that it would continue to undertake initiatives aimed at helping students overcome challenges related to academics and competitive examinations.
