Goan liquor seized in Belgaum .

BELGAUM: In yet another raid on illicit liquor trade, excise officials from Belgaum seized Goa made liquor and two motorcycles worth Rs 1 lakh.

BELGAUM: In yet another raid on illicit liquor trade, excise officials from Belgaum seized Goa made liquor and two motorcycles worth Rs 1 lakh.
According to official sources, in a raid that was carried out near the Karnataka Excise check post near Kankumbi, the excise officials seized nine boxes containing 77.76 litres of whisky, motorcycle (GA-08-C-8723), six litres of ‘Urrack’ and six bottles of whisky. Another two-wheeler has been also seized. Excise DySP Jagdish N Kulkarni, PI Ravi M Murgod and CS Patil and team seized the liquor under the guidance of Joint Director of Excise Prabhuswami and Deputy Commissioner K B Merunandan.
This is the second seizure of Goa made liquor and ‘Urrack’ since last week. Both the persons carrying the liquor from Goa to Belgaum managed to flee. 
A case is registered in Khanapur Police station.
