Police in Bhatkal, Uttara Kannada, have seized 32 gold bangles weighing 401 grams and ₹50 lakh in cash from a Mumbai–Mangaluru private bus during a routine inspection.
According to officials, the valuables were concealed inside a suitcase disguised as a sweet box, raising suspicions during the check. The items have been confiscated, and a detailed investigation is underway to trace their source and intended destination.
