Governor to Address Goa Assembly on Opening Day of Winter Session; CM Sawant Seeks Smooth Proceedings

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday said that the Governor of Goa will address the Legislative Assembly on the first day of the Winter Session, marking the formal commencement of the five-day proceedings.

Welcoming the Governor and all members of the House, the Chief Minister said the address would place before the Assembly the government’s work and achievements over the past year. He noted that the Governor’s address serves as an important platform to outline the administration’s policies, programmes, and progress.

“I welcome the Governor and also extend my greetings to all the honourable members of the Assembly. I pray for the smooth conduct of the five-day Assembly session,” CM Sawant said.

The Winter Session of the Goa Legislative Assembly is expected to witness intense debates and discussions, as both the ruling benches and the opposition prepare to raise key issues concerning governance, development, and public welfare in the state.
