PANJIM: The State government recently held a meeting with Water and Power Consultancy Services (WAPCOS), a Government of India undertaking owned by the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti to discuss the upgradation of infrastructure in the State using various Central and World Bank schemes.
Officials from the Chief Minister’s Office informed that the State government has plans of initiating environment friendly projects in all sectors, such as Tourism, Healthcare and Education by taking WAPCOS on board. All of this was discussed during the meeting. Furthermore, a decision was taken to finalise Detailed Project Report (DPR), the officials added.
The WAPCOS is a consultancy and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm that providing solutions for water, power and infrastructure projects.
