Govt launches eDaakhil for filing consumer cases

PANJIM: Minister for Civil Supplies and Consumer Affair Govind Gaude launched the eDaakhil, the online portal for filing of consumer cases at the Secretariat in Porvorim.

Gaude congratulated the National Informatics Centre (NIC) officers for their contribution and enlightened the benefits of eDaakhil. “Those consumers who have felt that they have been cheated or neglected can approach the court. Vendors will have to be more alert to avoid consumer cases,” Gaude said.

He further emphasised that this portal was essential for today’s requirement.

G Mahalingam, Scientist-D, NIC, Goa explained the features of the eDaakhil software. 

He said, “It facilitates the consumers and advocates for filing the consumer cases through the online portal and provides a ‘start to end’ workflow for consumers and department officials.” 

He added that it also facilitates respondents to file replies or rejoinder through online mode.

The Secretary and Director of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, various high-ranking dignitaries of NIC including those from Delhi, the staff, members and presidents of Goa’s two District Commissions and the staff of the Goa State Commission were present for the function.
