PANJIM: Welcoming the State government’s decision to impose State-level curfew, Shiv Sena Goa President Jitesh Kamat said that if it was implemented earlier many Goans may not have succumbed to deadly COVID-19 infection.
Kamat claimed that the government declared 15 days lockdown day after he expressed his doubt that the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is not in favour of lockdown as it will effect mining transportation where some of the ministers are mining transportation contractors including alleged indirect partnership of the Chief Minister himself.
Kamat further raised a question whether both the Collectors detail order on Saturday, April 8, would specify about mining activities in the State.
