PANJIM: In a bid to encourage setting up of Ayurveda medicine clinics or education and research, the State government has decided to provide financial assistance for development of necessary infrastructure to promote this branch of ancient Indian medicine.
The government, through Department of Health, has introduced a scheme for Grant of Special Assistance to Ayurveda Institutions.
The notification states that the Government of Goa desires to extend its support to education and research in Ayurveda through Ayurvedic College and Hospital in the State in lines with the Government of India schemes created through the Ministry of AYUSH.
