PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa has directed the Chief Secretary to once again hear the former Reis Magos sarpanch Prasanna Nagvekar and the complainants over the issue of giving house number of non-existing structures in the Non Development Zone (NDZ) at Reis Magos.
Due to peculiar circumstances of the case, the court set aside the impugned order delivered by the Chief Secretary on December 18, 2020 and directed him to once again hear both — the petitioner as well as the original complainants and then to take a decision on the further course of action in accordance with law.
The court has also asked the Chief Secretary, the competent authority to make and communicate a speaking order with brief reasons on this matter.
The parties have been asked to appear before the competent authority at 3 pm on August 5 and to file authenticated copy of the order. The court further said that if any parties are aggrieved by the decision of the competent authority, they will have the liberty to go for appropriate proceedings.
