PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee has chalked out a detailed plan to create the party’s ideology among the youth as it gets set to begin an intensive membership drive across the State’s 40 constituencies.
The drive will continue for 45 days during which the work carried out by the office bearers in their respective areas of responsibilities will be closely monitored and evaluated by party President Luizinho Faleiro, says a press statement issued by party spokesman Sunil Kawthankar. “As part of the road map drawn up by Luizinho for consolidating and strengthening the party at grassroots level, right from the booth committees with a special emphasis on building a strong cadre of young leaders within the party – an intensive membership drive will be carried out in all 40 constituencies. Simultaneously, a specially designed training programme will be conducted to impart party ideology for better understanding of party policies among the young leaders of the party including those from the frontal organization such as Youth Congress, NSUI, Mahila Congress and Seva Dal,” reads the press statement. General Secretary Sankalp Amonkar and Secretary Orlando Menezes have been tasked to
coordinate between the general secretaries.
