CALANGUTE: The controversial works of bus bay and road widening, which witnessed public spat between Calangute MLA Michael Lobo and Calangute Panch Joseph Sequeira, will be undertaken by Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC).
According to reports, the works will be started within a couple of days though the warring factions have been asked to maintain status quo at the sites. The development comes in wake of a joint meeting with the two factions with the Collector North Goa besides other government officials.
It may be recalled that Deputy Collector & Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Mapusa Sub-Division, on Monday issued an order calling upon the warring factions to maintain status-quo on the bus bay works at Calangute market and road widening works at Calangute Association Hall site.
