VASCO: Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) will contribute Rs1.75 crore towards COVID-19 relief, says a tweet on the official twitter handle of Goa Shipyard Ltd on Wednesday.
According to the tweet, of the Rs 1.75 crore, Rs 1.25 crore will go to PM Cares fund and Rs 50 lakh will go to Goa State COVID-19 relief fund. “In addition to this, all employees will contribute their one day salary towards this cause,” stated the tweet.

When contacted, Nikhil Wagh, public relations officer of GSL, said that the decision has been taken. Wagh said he interacted with the higher officials via video conferencing and on soon the fund transfer is likely to be released.
