GSPCB chief appointed acting chairman of GPSC

PANJIM: Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) Chairman Jose Manuel Noronha on Friday took charge as acting chairman of Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC), following a Cabinet decision.

PANJIM: Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) Chairman Jose Manuel Noronha on Friday took charge as acting chairman of Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC), following a Cabinet decision. 
Noronha, who was granted a year’s extension as GSPCB chairman after his term ended in September 2015, has been appointed as member of GPSC for a period of six years. The Cabinet granted its nod for the appointment.
Noronha was appointed as GSPCB chairman On September 4, 2012 and continues to hold it until further orders. He will be replacing former member Dr M M Sangodkar, whose term ends on April 5.
Meanwhile, in yet another decision, the cabinet has granted its approval for recruitment of five trainee automobile engineers on contract basis for one year.
