Has little impact in Sanguem

The Bandh call given by Ganv Rakhon Jagruti Manch had little impact in Sanguem.
Except for public transport system, which remained off the road throughout the day, shops and establishments in the town area and neighbouring areas functioned as usual. Not a single shop in the town area remained closed for the day.
Government offices and banks also functioned as usual. The visitors to the government offices however remained low as the villagers from remote areas could not make it to the offices for want of transport.
All the public transport vehicles plying from the remote areas to Sanguem town remained off the road, thereby keeping the people stranded at many places.
The worst affected were school-going students and attendance in most of the schools remained low. Some students, especially SSC and HSSC students, had to hire motorcycles to reach their schools as they were answering their prelims.
