MARGAO: Independent candidate Shalom Sardinha has said that he is sad that his election agent Custodio Dias has embraced the Trinamool Congress, but asserted that he is not hurt over the development.
When contacted for his comment on his election agent and two other supporters joining the Trinamool Congress, Shalom feigned ignorance about the development, saying he was not aware of the move till the media brought to his notice.
He declined to comment when pointed out that Dias had informed you of their decision to embrace the TMC, but said “I am sad, but not hurt. If they had such plans, they should have done so 12 days back”.
Shalom, however, said the development will not have any bearing on his election campaign, saying his campaign will continue as per scheduled.
