I never demanded any post: Nilkanth

Although he was elated after being sworn in as a minister in the Digamabar Kamat cabinet, Thivim MLA Nilkanth Halarnkar said he never demanded with the party high command for the post.
“I was the founder member of the NCP in Goa along with Dr Pegado etc, but I never demanded any post or ministry for that matter,” Nilkanth told reporters after his swearing in ceremony at Raj Bhavan today.
Asked whether he has any particular portfolio in mind, Nilkanth replied “no, it is prerogative of the chief minister.”
“Let the chief minister and the high command decide on that I have full faith in them,” Nilkanth said.
When pointed out to the circumstances under which he was sworn in as minister after Mickky Pacheco resigned, the Thivim MLA who served as a panch member of Colvale panchayat for 20 years said, “I don’t want to comment on that.”
“Mickky may have resigned due to personal reasons and to tell you frankly we three MLAs in the NCP never had any differences,” he stated adding “I am ready to vacate the post anytime the high command desires so”.
