PANJIM: The 52nd edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), scheduled to be held in Goa from November 20-28, will be held in hybrid format, for the second consecutive edition.
In view of COVID-19 surge last year, the 51st edition of IFFI was held in January 2021, in hybrid format that was both physical and virtual mode.
The Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant announced that the IFFI 2021 will be adapted in hybrid format following all protocols to ensure delegates safety.
IFFI is reckoned as one of Asia’s oldest and India’s biggest international film festivals, with Goa being its permanent host since 2004.
The Festival is being organised by the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India in collaboration with the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG).
The delegate registration for 52nd edition has been open and one can get them registered on diff.gov.in
On the occasion of the birth centenary of the maestro of Indian cinema Satyajit Ray, this time the Directorate of Films Festivals, Ministry of I&B, will pay a tribute through a special retrospective at the IFFI. Also, in recognition of the auteur’s legacy, the “Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Cinema” has been instituted from this year to be given at the IFFI every year starting from this year.
