He said the Goa police would soon set up a Help Line for senior citizens to address their problems and meet their requirements.
On his maiden visit to the South Goa district police headquarters and after an interaction with citizens, Garg was faced with a volley of questions on traffic and parking, besides security and burglaries in the commercial capital. He has urged the traders in the market to install CCTVs. “I want the police to be pro-active. They should take up with other agencies any illegalities affecting parking or traffic”, he said, while his attention was drawn to the conversion of parking spaces into shopping lots.
He instructed the district police chief South Shekhar Prabudessai to hold a meeting along with Traffic SP and other officials with the market committee to find means to solve the problem of parking and a meeting with bus operators to overcome the traffic mess.
