MARGAO: The issue of illegal constructions dominated the Rumdamol-Davorlim gram sabha with the panchayat clarifying that a stop work order has been already issued to the concerned parties.

The Sarpanch informed the villagers that sopo collection has been done through the panchayat, however, villagers brought to the notice of the panchayat body that several illegal vendors were transacting business operations without obtaining trade licence.
The sarpanch also stated that the panchayat had already initiated to carry out developmental works in the village, wherein MRF shed, installation of solar panel, cleaning of public gardens, painting of government school and purchase of goods for the gardens were in the pipeline.
Sarpanch also informed the villagers that work pertaining to health and awareness towards the garbage problem will be taken up in the coming days.
However, villagers took on the task of the panchayat body over the issue of alleged illegal structures in the jurisdiction of the panchayat and questioned for not initiating any action despite filing a complaint.
Later, the panchayat informed that showcause notices have been already issued to the concerned party.
