PANJIM: While the government recently decided to raise third Indian Reserve Battalion (Armed Police), the first batch of armed personnel are facing an alleged disparity in funds distribution as they are yet to get their uniform allowance for year 2012.
Sources said that several personnel from the first battalion have not received their annual uniform allowance of Rs 2,703 to each.
More so, several personnel from the IRB and Goa police have not received their 13-month pay which usually is received by early January each year. “We haven’t received our 13 month salary for 2012. It usually comes by January 20 every year but this time it hasn’t so far,” said a policeman.
