PANJIM: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Goa will celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17 as ‘Sewa Divas’.
The BJP leaders, including ministers, MLAs and workers, will participate in cleanliness drives across all 40 constituencies and organise medical camps. Sweets and other items will also be distributed in homes for the aged and orphanages and to needy people.
Speaking to media persons on the celebration, BJP State General Secretary Damodar Naik said the party would be celebrating the birthday across the country as ‘Sewa Divas’.
We will be organising cleanliness drives at schools, hospitals, bus stops, gardens and statues. Cleanliness of lakes and ponds will be taken up, he said, emphasising that the PM has urged to take up cleanliness drives.
