MARGAO: The land survey department on Wednesday demarcated the land allotted for kabrastan at Sonsodo. The demarcation was carried out after Raia locals had alleged that the land belongs to Raia Fabrica. The survey department will now submit a report to the District Collector.
The land loser with the help of NGOs and locals objected to the work on the kabrastan stating that he was not paid compensation and that the land doesn’t fall under Margao jurisdiction, but the Raia Fabrica.
