PONDA: The Shree Shantadurga Shikshan Committee at Kavlem-Ponda will organise various programmes, including a national conference on education at Kala Academy, to celebrate its golden jubilee year.
Addressing a news conference at Kavlem, committee president Srikumar Sarjyothishi informed that Governor Bharatveer Wanchoo will inaugurate the inaugural function on May 1.
After the inaugural programme, there will be a music concert by Devki Pradhan, Sabir Khan and Aneesh Pradhan. From May 2 to 4, there will be lecture series on Veer Savarkar and the national song of India by Sharad Ponkshe.
On September 13 and 14, National Conference on community education will be addressed by Padmavibhushan Dr Anil Kakodkar, Padmavibushan Dr R A Mashelkar and few others from different parts of India.
There will be one-week programme from December 8 to 13 on cultural and science exhibitions.
Parents and management awareness programmes will be conducted in second week of February 2015.
