Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal strongly condemned the violent assault on social activist Rama Kankonkar in Panjim, Goa. Taking to social media, the AAP leader alleged that the attack reflects a larger failure of law and order under the BJP government in the coastal state, highlighting rising gang wars, drug issues, and harassment of women.
The assault occurred on Thursday in Caranzalem when six assailants attacked Kankonkar in broad daylight. Police have arrested five suspects — Anthony Nadar, Francis Nadar, Suresh Naik, Minguel Araujo, and Manish Hadfadkar — while efforts continue to apprehend the sixth accused.

Kankonkar, currently undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College, reported being punched, kicked, smeared with cow dung, and thrown onto the road. Superintendent of Police Rahul Gupta assured that preventive measures are being implemented and multiple police teams are on the lookout for the remaining suspect.
