VASCO: The Kerala Cultural Association (KCA) has yet again requested the South Goa Member of Parliament Adv Narendra Sawaikar approach the Railway Ministry in starting a direct train service from Vasco to Ernakulam.
The KCA has expressed its unhappiness over the non-fulfilment of promise of a direct train service from Vasco to Ernakulam which has already been approved in the parliament.
KCA President T Ravishankar in a letter to MP Sawaikar, mentioned that “We regret to mention that the assurance given by you that the direct train service from Vasco to Ernakulam/Thiruvananthapuram which is already approved in the parliament is yet to commence Also there is no direct train service from Vasco to Mangalore”.
“As the parliament election is fast approaching, we once again request you to kindly look into the matter and do the needful to start the direct train from Vasco to Mangalore and Kerala and we are waiting for favourable reply,” Ravishankar added.
