VASCO: Vasco Police on Sunday arrested a 37-year-old native of Kerala on charges of travelling on a forged passport.
According to Vasco Police, the immigration officer at Dabolim Airport Suresh Samant complained that during routine immigration check they detained Abdul Latif Amblathveettil (37), who had travelled via Qatar Airways at Dabolim airport.
Immigration officials found that Abdul had forged the passport by replacing his photograph.
Immigration officials detained Abdul and later handed him over to Vasco Police, who arrested the accused under the Passport Act.
Vasco Police is investigating the case.
