KRC to run special trains for Ganesh Chaturthi

MARGAO: Konkan Railway Corporation (KRC) will be running three special trains during the Ganesh season from Mumbai Central, Bandra and Mangalore stations to clear the rush of extra passengers during the festive season.
The first train being Train No. 09001/09002 will operate from Mumbai Central to Mangalore and vice versa and will depart from Mumbai Central at 23:55 hours on August 28, September 4 and 11 and will reach Mangalore at 21:55 the next day.
Train No. 09002 will leave Mangalore for Mumbai Central at 23:55 hours on August 29, September 5 and 12 to reach Mumbai Central at 22:25 hours the next day. These trains will have 18 coaches of which 2 coaches will be 2 tier AC, 8 coaches 3 tier AC, 3 sleeper coaches and two general coaches.
These up and down trains will halt at Borivali, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Madure, Thivim, Madgaon Junction, Karwar, Kumta, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki and Surathkal stations.
The second special train will be the Bandra to Mangalore having No. 09000 which will leave from Bandra at 23:45 hours on Tuesdays which is September 3 and 10 to reach Mangalore at 21:55 hours the next day.
The return train No. 09010 will leave Mangalore at 23:55 hours on Wednesdays September 4 and 11 to reach Bandra at 22:00 hours the next day. These trains will have 20 coaches of which one will be 2 tier AC, 3 coaches will be 3 tier AC, 10 coaches will be sleeper and three will be general coaches.
These trains will halt at Borivali, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Madure, Thivim, Madgaon Junction, Karwar, Kumta, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki and Surathkal stations.
The third special train which will be totally air conditioned one will also operate between Bandra and Mangalore with Train No. 09011 leaving Bandra on Sundays namely 1st and 8th September at 23:45 hours to reach Mangalore at 21:55 hours on the next day.
The return train No. 909012 will leave Mangalore on Mondays namely September 2 and 9 at 23:55 hours to reach Bandra the next day at 22:00 hours. These trains will have 18 coaches of which two will be 2 tier AC, 6 coaches will be 3 tier AC, 8 coaches will be AC chair and 2 coaches will be SLR cum 3 tier.
These trains will halt at Borivali, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Madure, Thivim, Madgaon Junction, Karwar, Kumta, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki & Surathkal stations.
